Slice sausage into one inch long sections.
Put in pan and cook, flipping as you go.
Dice garlic and onion as sausage cooks.
Remove sausage and set aside.
Deglaze pan with vodka.
Add oil, onion, and garlic.
Add tomato paste and mix in as best you can.
Turn down heat and add heavy cream.
Add sausage back in and set to low.
Cook pasta in oiled and salted water.
Strain pasta and mix with sausage and sauce, add red pepper flakes to taste.
